Last weekends results

Last weekend was a busy one for Morag, she was at the Scottish Utility Clubs show on Saturday followed by Perthshire CCs show the next day but the effort was well worthwhile as Logie took Best Import Register at both shows.

Logie

The Import Register class at Perth - very nearly a Eurasier class!

Perth show was not one of the most successful for club members, wins were thin on the ground, but I do have a few to mention.

For the second week running, Joannes Manfred was Best Working Puppy. Sues Gypsy won the toy veteran class.

The junior handling classes at this show are qualifiers for Richmond with 1st to 3rd places going through. Both Ria and Caitlin made the grade after being placed 2nd in their respective classes.

Leven and District CCs open obedience show was also held last weekend and Lisa had a great day with Max because they won the Pre-Beginners class. This means that they have now won out of this class. Good luck in Beginners and Novice, Lisa!

Well done all!

Thanks to Morag and Lisa for sending in photos.

Tayside Lochee District Canine Club Open Show

The venue for this show is Carnoustie Leisure Centre, situated right beside the beach, and with the sun shining all day long on Saturday (14th), you couldnt have asked for a better setting for a show. We wont think about previous shows where it rained and a howling gale was coming off the sea!

Four rings were held outside, quite some distance from the two held inside the hall, which meant for a bit of a split. It wasnt easy to keep track of what went on but I have some results, let me know of any Ive missed. Sorry, no photos.

Linda and Rons Esmee was Best AVNSC toy, Freda was BOB and Best Hound Special Minor Puppy.

Elizabeths Belle beat all her kennel mates to take BOB.

Sues Desmond won his Graduate class and Jana won her Post Grad class.

Well done all!

Great dog training methods

Is there anyone out there that knows a great dog training program?

I am a qualified veterinary nurse, and yet we still see coming in to our veterinary hospital hundreds of dogs that badly need training.

After searching the net for ages I have found a great program. Dog training can be difficult, but using the correct program can help. Trainers that come to your house also cost way too much money, they want about $70 or more an hour, and once they leave you generally have no idea how they did it!

This program is easy to use.

If you have a doggy that may need some help in this department (and often you need just as much help knowing what to do), then I would suggest you try this program.

Click Here! to go and read about this program

I will continue to look for other programs, let me know if you guys find any.

Aberdeen Canine Training Society Open Obedience Shows

ACTS held their weekend of obedience shows on July 3rd and 4th at Hazlehead Park. Saturday saw fine weather, if a little windy, but the rain fell on Sunday and it was wellies and waterproofs all round.

Lisa and Max had good Beginners rounds on both days, being placed 4th on Saturday and 10th on Sunday.

Fran was stewarding on Saturday, and Diva was busy at Bon Accord being a showdog, but they had a great result in Sundays Beginners where they took 2nd place. Fran also worked Tash in the same class and was placed 6th.

Congratulations Lisa and Fran! Commiserations to Colin and Beauly who had some bad luck in the stay ring involving a dog which was more interested in the other dogs than staying where it was supposed to be. Better luck next time Colin...just make sure youre the opposite end of the ring to that dog!

Thanks for the photos Lisa and Colin.

Saturdays Beginners 1st-10th

Lisa and Max 4th

Sundays Beginners 1st-10th (R-L)
